Student Assistance Program (SAP)

Vermont’s Student Assistance Program grew from an established workplace-support model into a school-based approach focused on prevention, early identification, education, and connection to resources.

What is SAP?

As a funded partner of the Vermont Department of Health’s Division of Substance Use, VCPI will provide and enhance substance use prevention and early intervention services in Vermont schools, leading to reductions in students’ alcohol and other drug use, increasing student resilience and providing resources to students and staff to address existing substance misuse. Our staff are currently placed in the Franklin West Supervisory Union.
